Aqueduct in Segovia

The aqueduct in Segovia is an ancient Roman aqueduct built during the time of the Roman emperors Claudius and Trajan (1st-2nd centuries); one of the best preserved in the world. It is the most famous symbol of Segovia and is immortalized on its coat of arms. Originally 18 kilometers long with a difference in height of 1 km, today about 1,200 meters with 166 arches on 120 pylons on two floors, with the highest height of 35.1 m, have been preserved.
